Every year on the last weekend of January the Norse God of winter, Ullr, returns to Golden, Colorado. In this picturesque Western town Ullr rallies a weekend of festivities - raising his drinking horn to craft beer, great music and a crowd that knows how to have fun in winter.
UllrGrass includes something for nearly everyone kicking off with the UllrGrass Park Parade, followed by a festival complete with premier musical acts from Colorado to Nashville, a kids activity area, food vendors, artisan vendors, musician workshops and more. Golden is a vibrant, active, healthy community with a love of the outdoors and UllrGrass provides an opportunity to get outside and enjoy our town - even in mid-winter. Take in the views of Golden's iconic Mesas from Parfet Park while grooving to the toe-tapping rhythm of a bluegrass, jamgrass or Americana band. UllrGrass is a volunteer-driven not-for-profit event, bringing the entire Golden community together to raise money for the Coral Creek Music Project.
Born on the banks of the might Colorado River back in 2005, YarmonyGrass has evolved into the must-not-miss festival mid-August at Rancho Del Rio. Yarmony is described as a mosaic of floating unicorns, swarthy pirates and an intimate festival setting that is bluegrass to its core, boasting a lineup of string and bluegrass bands, jamming themselves silly with their greatest local fans and fellow musicians alike.
GoldenGrass Bluegrass Festival is an annual June event that takes place at New Terrain Brewing Co in Golden, Co, featuring fine local, regional and national bluegrass acts and a diverse selection of seasonal beers.
